Fit Test

I started! Yes, you read that right. I started. Today was day 1. I did the fit test for Insanity. So here are my day 1 results:

Switch Kicks 40
Power Jacks 31
Power Knees 52
Power Jumps 20
Globe Jumps 6
Suicide Jumps 10
Push-Up Jacks 10
Low Plank Oblique 15

It took about 25 minutes to complete (that includes a warm up and cool down). And in those 25 minutes I burned a cool 216 calories. Awesome!

I had a pretty unbalanced eating day. I had about 400 calories at breakfast (cereal and milk). For lunch, I had expected to be in a meeting so I took a Campbell's Chunky soup and yogurt just in case. It was great that I took it because I wound up not having the meeting today. Anyway! I had about 280 calories with lunch followed by 80 calories around 4 for a snack. Dinner was a bit more. I had rice, chicken, steamed veggies and tomatoes. All in all it was around 500 calories including a glass of chocolate milk to get my extra protein in. Hopefully tomorrow my eating will go a bit better and have a more balanced caloric intake.

Check back for tomorrow's workout update. It's a plyometric cardio circuit. It should be pretty rough for my legs...especially since they're so worn out from a weekend of skiing!
